Una altra novetat que arribarà com a prèvia a la marató de música popular és un berenar sopar que acabarà en un homenatge al cantador de jotes improvisades de Roquetes, Josep Garcia ''Lo Canalero'', un dels incondicionals del Tradicionàrius fins que per motius de salut va deixar d''assistir-hi, fa dos anys, i que ha mort recentment. L''homenatge consistirà en l''actuació de cantadors de jota i rondalles de les Terres de l''Ebre, que actuaran juntament amb la rondalla de Lo Canalero.
El tret de sortida al Tradicionàrius és aquesta tarda nit amb l''''Hortet de la dansa i el cant'' que participen els alumnes que han seguit els cursos de cantadors de jota i de danses. La música i ball aniran a càrrec de La Nova Euterpe i La Principal de la Nit So Insistent.
